Absolute falsehood I have never been a member of the Way International, nor have I ever even attended one of their meetings. You need to get your facts correct.
As for Michael Rood, I do not know Rood, I have not bet Rood, I have never seen Rooad and I ahve never even spoken with the man. I am still teaching the same basic theology now that I was teaching in the 1980's before Rood ever came on the scene.
This whole review by "help4truth is simply filled with falsehoods.
Also a response to some of the other Slander that has been posted about me on the internet:
And accusations of plagiarism were disproved in a federal lawsuit settled in our favor years ago:
Not only do I claim never to have been a memeber of the Way International, it is a matter of fact that I have never been a member of The Way International, nor have I ever attended any of their meetings.
Furthermore your statement:
"You quote their founder Victor Paul Wierwille many times throughout your works, and in those cases you do so approvingly."
Is a flagrant lie. In fact I do not believe I have ever quoted Weirwille in any of my many books, approvingly or otherwise.
Also your statement “You quote George Lamsa in many places through what you say and write, and in those cases you do so approvingly. When you quote Lamsa, it is clear you are quoting him either because a) he supports your views or b) you are supporting his (depending on the particular context).” Is another flagrant lie. I rarely have quoted Lamsa, and when I have it has often been to argue against his points.
It seems you deal in lies.
October 8, 2012 Subject:
So you claim to never have been a member of the Way International...but
1. You quote their founder Victor Paul Wierwille many times throughout your works, and in those cases you do so approvingly.
2. You quote george Lamsa in many places through what you say and write, and in those cases you do so approvingly. When you quote Lamsa, it is clear you are quoting him either because a) he supports your views or b) you are supporting his (depending on the particular context).
3. George Lamsa was a (poor) linguist who advanced the view that the New Testament was written originally in Aramaic. Conveniently, Lamsa happened to have his own Aramaic New Testament (which he had translate INTO his aramaic from other non-aramaic sources) to offer for sale.
As others have pointed out:
" Victor Paul Wierwille became associated in 1957 with Aramaic Bible scholar George M. Lamsa,
and Lamsa finished his translating the Lamsa Bible in Wierwille's home. Lamsa and Wierwille produced the first American Aramaic New Testament in 1960. "
6. Lamsa's views have much in common with the occult view of christianity.
7. Victor Paul Wierwille and the Way International deny the historic Christian doctrine of the Trinity.
George Lamsa denied the historic Christian doctrine of the Trinity.
You (James Trimm) deny the historic Christian doctrine of the Trinity.
( and just to state the obvious: If you do not deny the doctrine of the Trinity btw, please clarify where you have ever stated this ! )
" The Way rejects the Trinity, and teaches that, unlike God, Jesus is not omniscient, omnipotent, or omnipresent. According to their ministry, Jesus did not exist before his birth except in the foreknowledge of God. The Way teaches that at his birth, God created the sperm to fertilize Mary's ovum, and is the literal father of Jesus. "
One book written by Victor Paul Wierwille actually has the title "Jesus Christ is Not God",
in which he addressed his belief that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and Messiah but not a persona of the Christian God or a pre-existent being
The relationship between Lamsa and the Way International and its founder Victor Paul Wierwille, , has been well established:
" Wierwille, became associated in 1957 with Aramaic Bible scholar George M. Lamsa who
finished his translation work for the The Holy Bible from Ancient Eastern Manuscripts (Lamsa Bible) in Wierwille's home. Lamsa and Wierwille together produced the first American Aramaic grammar in 1960 for the study of Biblical manuscripts with the ancient Estrangelo letters.
Believing the original New Testament was written in Aramaic, he was a supporter of George Lamsa's translation of the Bible, and used it frequently. "
In reference to Lamsa and his version Bruce Chilton, scholar and prominent Aramicist, has said :
A still less defensible tendency confuses Aramaic of the first century with Syriac, a different form of the language. The approach of George Lamsa, who used the Peshitta Syriac version as an index of replicating Jesus’ teaching in Aramaic, has been taken up and popularized by Neil Douglas-Klotz. This approach willfully perpetuates a basic confusion of language, since Aramaic and Syriac come from different centuries and areas (although they are closely related Semitic languages), and is based on uncritical treatment of the Peshitta, a Syriac version of the Gospels
The well-known ministry Christian Research International (CRI) characterized lamsa as having occult theology (metaphysical teachings), which is not hard to agree with:
In 1989 the Christian Evangelical apologetics research ministry Christian Research Institute asserted in a published review that several of Lamsa's theological positions and interpretations were not supported by the Bible. The review concludes by saying:
"On the surface, Lamsa appears to be a revealer of biblical truth and culture and a friend of evangelical Christianity. Closer study, however, has revealed that Lamsa promotes metaphysical, not evangelical teachings which have led him to inaccurate interpretations and translations of portions of the Bible. As an ambassador of Nestorian, not biblical culture, Lamsa became a cultic figure in his own right."
On one of your websites, you clarify that the Way International initiated a lawsuit against you.
In that same comment you clarify that the Way International eventually settled out of court, and futher that THEY issued you a liscense to use THEIR material.
" As many of you know The Way International had filed a lawsuit against myself and the WNAE (under our old name of SANJ) this last summer, alleging that portions of the HRV Scriptures infringed on the copyright of a translation they once published about twenty years ago."
So it was clear, that your association to the material of the Way International was a perception, held NOT ONLY by many who observed your work, but by the WAY International itself also !!!
Second, it was clear based on the comments you wrote, that the Way International clearly understood YOUR MATERIAL and YOUR [so-called] Bible Version to be based on and/or derived from THEIR WORK.
Your same article correctly noted:
" As part of the settlement they have issued us a permanent license with no monetary consideration. Also as part of the settlement we have maintained that there was no copyright infringement on our part, however we have also agreed as part of this license agreement, to henceforth give credit in editions of the HRV to the TWI version. (Thus allegations of copyright infringement are forever ended.). "
So the remedy for the lawsuit, from the perspective of the WAY International, was not to
clarify that you had NOT used THEIR material. But rather their remedy was that they retained the
rights to THEIR bible version, and issued a license TO YOU to make use of their material.
In other words, according to your own article, your material in your work and your bible version,
is derived from the work, material and content belonging to the Way International, and they have gratiously allowed you to CONTINUE USING that material.
Now WHY would anyone think that you are associated with the Way International, and their work and their theology ????
BECAUSE YOU ARE !!! and the lawsuit confirms that, further by the issuance to you of a Liscense from the Way International in order for you to CONTINUE USING THEIR MATERIALS in your version, your works, and the content of your enterprise.
So the Way International knows you use and used their material.
Those who watch and read or listen to your own work also understand and have correctly identified The Way International as a major source for your theology, your conclusions and your works, including your Bible Version.
And your work is also based on the work of Victor Paul Wierwille and George Lamsa who worked with Victor Paul Wierwille in the spreading and endeavors of the Way International.
You authored a document called " The truth and the evidence for the originality of the Hebraic Roots Version by James Scott Trimm"
" Around 1995 I was asked to serve on the Board of Directors of the Aramaic Bible Society, originally founded by Dr. George M. Lamsa." That statement is on Page THREE of your document. Clearly you are hardly distancing yourself from Lamsa, and in fact much of your work is based on Lamsa's work and conclusions.
As to Rood, and your association with him, or your syncronicity with his views, lets just say that
others have pointed this out. One example is here at http://www.seekgod.ca/trfactor2.htm .
Again this is just putting basic facts together. Your claims about Jesus Christ are false.
Your claims about who is the Messiah is false. Your understanding of the history of Biblical manuscripts is very colored by Victor Paul Wierwille and Lamsa, both of whom were horrendous scholars and worse theologians. By all historic standards of Christianity, you deny that the Jesus of the
New Testament is the Christ-Messiah. You further deny the Trinity and other major points
of Christian doctrine. You can teach what you want but it is not Orthodox non-talmudic Judaism,
and it certainly is not historic Biblical Christianity. Your views are closest to the Unitarian- New Age [Origen-based] Way International, and the statements made by others should be a strong warning to those who are seeking truth or historic accuracy through your materials. They will be appear to be wanting for a very long time.
As others have asked of you:
As seen on some postings, Mr Trimm now wishes to disclaim the Way International.
- Will Mr. Trimm also Disclaim the false version of George Lamsa ?
- Will Mr. Trimm also Disclaim his own work based on the the false version of George Lamsa ?
- Will Mr. Trimm also disclose the relationship between George Lamsa and Victor Paul Wierwille who founded the Way International ?
- Will Mr. Trimm also disclose and admit that his Hebrew Roots Version of the Bible is a re-tread
of the material of the Way International, and that his HRM Version of the Bible, is possible because the Way International issued a liscence to Him, for Free, in order so that he (James Trimm) could make free use of the Way Internatinonal Version of the Bible ???
The Hebrew Roots Movement promoted by Mr. Trimm is another vehicle for the work and errant doctrines of the Way International, which contradict 2000 years of Christianity.
- Surely Mr. Trimm is aware that there are 25,000 portions of the New Testament that have been discovered in Koine Greek, and that this includes 5000 koine GREEK manuscripts, and another 20,000 lectionaries in which the passages from the New Testament have been discovered, and that THEYare written in ancient koine GREEK ???
- Does Mr. Trimm understand that these are ancient GREEK manuscripts from all over the world and not Aramaic ???
- Will Mr. Trimm also Disclaim the work of those who deny the Trinity ?
- Will Mr. Trimm also admit that His Messiah is not the Jesus Christ of the historic New Testament ?

Lost Ten Tribes not found in the Anti-Trinitarian sloppy scholarship of James Trimm and the Way International
There have been many articles that warn against the teachings of the group known as the Way International.
The Way International promoted its false teachings originally through its founder Victor Paul Wierwille.
It is considered a cult by traditional historic Christian denominations.
[ as noted by others, some denominations today have departed from their own historic doctrines. That is sadly true in some cases, but that would not change the reality that the Way International promotes views which remain in opposition to the historic doctrines of Christianity and the Christian faith even while claming to have found their true way].
The Way International message centers aeound the denial of the Trinity, altering the identity of Jesus Christ, distorting the historic doctrines of Christianity, and teaching salvation by good works, which is a strong contradiction to the central message of the Historic Bible [ 1611 here] and historic Christianity.
James Trimm worked for and with the Way International for many years.
Some of the teachings of James Trimm are known under the concepts of the “Sacred Name” teachings.
Sacred name (concepts) pretends to be historic, but actually involve the importation of talmudic (or occult ?) magical concepts into christianity. Sacred name theology asserts that one cannot communicate with God without the secret incantation of His name, which only those who Have studied the Sacred Name (under certain teachers who usually advocate judaism, talmudic and otherwise) are able to know, pronounce, and appeal to God correctly. It is the rebirth of the concept of the mystical priesthood, and the Sacrd name teacher will bring you into the secret mysteries of the sacred name. Protests all you want, but when you study the actions od the Sacred namers, this is what most of them actually practice.
It is one things to believe in the Holiness of God, and to want to worship Him. It is something entirely different to suggest that UNLESS one does know or write corrct version of the the name of God IN ENGLISH, that God cannot hear or respond to us. The sacred name movement has many strands, because most sacred name teachers are in contradiction to each other, and do not know either Hebrew, Translation or Transliteration principles, nor the History of the English Language.
James Trimm brings together the fase concepts of false Sacret name doctrines, advocates against the Trinity, and then promotes many concepts found in occultic talmudic Judaism. Add to that the teachings od the Way International, and that is Trimm formula for being led very far astray from historic Christianity. Trimm refers to his concepts as Judaism, clarifying his brand of errant conclusions.
Problems with the false teachings of the Way International have been pointed out by many. These include
online information such as:
The Doctrines of James Trimm represent a consistent opposition to the historic teachings of the Christian Faith. While everyone is obviously entitleed to believe as their choose, it should be made clear what those beliefs are. James Trimm seems to strongly oppose historic Christianity and the Doctrine of the Trinity.
There are many claims within the Sacred Name movement. AT its core, much of the teaching of the Sacred Name movement involves the atttempted erasure of the New Testament.
Much of the Sacred Name movement claims superior knowlege of Hebrew. Those claims are false and filled with errors. The claims to historic understanding of the translation process of either the Old Testament or the New Testament are false. Their claims to superior translations are False, and the versions of the Bibe that they are produce are innacurate, error-filled and historically, logically, etymologically and linguistically indefensible. Sacred Name movement here.
** The issue of Old Testament Translation.
The likelyhood of finding out which Hebrew manuscripts are accurate and which ones are not – from any teacher in the Sacred Name [false] movement - are very very small. If you find out for yoursel, you will learn that you can study and learn on your own. And you will also learn that the level of reliability of the false teachers is sadly lacking. Those in the sacred name movement must demonstrate the courage to ray and seek truth on their own. The tools do exist for the sincere and dedicated seeker to do this.
Rather than wait for the official version of edited history, lets help them and provide the information directly to you , the end-user and truth seeker.
The Historic OLD Testament used by Protestant and the Hebrew community is available online, for Free.
This is the 1524-1525 Second Rabbinic Bible printed by Daniel Bomberg. The 1524-1525 Second Rabbinic Bible is the Old Testament that was the basis for the Geneva Bible and the King James Bible.
The 1524-1525 Second Rabbinic Bible - is available for Free Download in Four volumes.
The BASIS for the evaluation of Historic Manuascripts of the Hebrew Manuscripts was produced in the 900 page excellent work of historic and linguistic accuracy by the noted Hebre Scholar C.D. Ginsburg.
His Work which is called Introduction to the Massoretico-critical edition of the Hebrew Bible. This ecellent rare work from the 1800s Is ALSO Available in 2 Volumes for Free online.
C.D. Ginsburg (author of Introduction to the Massoretico-critical edition ) REMAINS the leading scholar on Hebrew Manuscripts of the last 400 years. The point is that we DO know shich Hebrew manuscripts are accurate and which ones are not. The information has been available long before the errant conclusions of mr. Trimm.
If Mr trimm would study the Historic Texts, and do a lot less trimming, his understanding of Biblical truth would improve.
While much is said about the Apocryphal books, it can be hard to find genuin information. The Apocryphal books were NOT even claimed to be scripture until the Vatican. Council of Trent, which dclared the false books of the Apocrypha to be inspired in the 1500s. For the first 1500 years of christianity, the same 66 books of the Old and New Testaments were the same as what is found in most Bible today. The 14 Apocryphal books were added to Roman Catholic editions of the Bible when the Vatican. could not respond intellectually to the writings of Calvin and Luther on Salvation by faith alone. The very word “apocrypha” means counterfeit. Even Jerome who wrote his own Latin Vulgate (which replaced the older accurate one) admitted that the Apocryphal books were not to be included as scripture. This statement was placed in the beginning of Jeromes translation of them, in the latin. (Modern Vatican editions of the Apocrypha books omit this warning by Jerome.
The Apocrypha plays a large role still today, usually in causing confusion and doubt about the other 66 books of the Bible. Teachers such as James Trimm may try to argue that the Apocryphal books are not reliable but then promote other sources such as the book of Enoch, which is not inspired and was never part of the Hebrew or the Christian canon [list] of Books within the Bible.
Information about the Bible Society and their inclusion of the [False] books of the Apocrypha can be found here at :
The Bible Society that led the modern defection from truth was the British and Foreign Bible Society. In 1904, They officially voted to defect to the false Wescott and Hort side, and publish errant [false] versions of the Bible. That is no secret. That is simply a matter of public record. A short version.of some of that material. has already been addressed here. (Her original work. from the 1990s on New Age versions still stands the test of time ). The Edinburgh Bible Society. stayed faithful for a long time, but eventually resistance to the Vatican. was overcome. .
Interesting Information about the Modern False versions of the Bible, which are based on False Greek Manuscripts of the New Testament can be found at:
1) Books by Professor John William Burgon of Oxford University
c] The revision revised : three articles reprinted from the Quarterly review :
I. The new Greek text.
II. II. The new English version.
III. III. Westcott and Hort's new textual theory
The Revision Revised is an explanation of the problems in the translation and work of Mr. Westcott and Mr. Hort. Westcott and Hort were apostate false translators who claimed to be faithful Christians. The evidence does not support that conclusion. Westcott in his own book claimed to be part of occult societies. Their work is used for many modern versions of the Bible. Information about them can be found in the work on the Hidden History of the Greek New Testament.
Information that discusses how to tell Accurate Manuscripts from false ones can be found here:
The English Revisers' [Wescott - Hort] Greek Text: Shown to be Unauthorized, Except by [errant] Egyptian Copies Discarded, can be found at:
There is much that has been written on Criticism of the Bible. But most of these are simpy attacks against the contents of the Bible.
There is not much intellectual argument. People ar simply unhappy that God actually claims to be God. Then, some are further unhappy at being informed that there is an afterlife and they should prepare now in order to avoid the wrong eternal destination.
Information about the 1611 version is not lacking either. The 1611 King James versions can be found here, online, for Free. It is called the King James version because He ordered it produced. King James did not Personally translate any of the version that has his name.
Details on the life and qualifications of the translators of the King James version [most of them were scholar from Cambridge and Oxford and were much more fluent than James Trimm, in English Ancient Greek, or Hebrew]. Details of the translators can be found online (for free) here:
The standard historic Christian New Testament in Ancient Koine Greek has been posted online. This is the versions used by the historic Christian churches around the world for 2000 years. It is called the Textus Receptus, and is available here:
We do know that as the book of Revelation describes, there are two Christs that do appear. The true jesus Christ is the one who returns in the clouds .and brings His followers to Him in Heaven.
Luke 24: 50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
(Mat 24:30 KJV) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
(Mat 26:64 KJV) Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
(Mark 13:26 KJV) And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
(Mark 14:62 KJV) And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
The other is a Christ who claims to be the real one, but establishes a Global Kingdom with the Earth as his domain during a period of time that appears to be seven years. This false one has his own characteristics.
, which include the ability to do miracles and to deceive millions upon millions of people:
Revelation 13: 13 And he [the Anti-Christ] doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth. by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship.the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he [the Anti-Christ] causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive.a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six (666.) .
At best, Mr Trimm seems to be a proponent of Judaism., but that shoud not to be confused with Christianity. Salvation by works under the system promoted by the pharisees is not the same as christianity, which is exactly the point made by Saint Paul in the book of Romans..
Perhaps Mr Trimm should learn more about which messiah he is advocating and what the scriptures state. He can always read the standard study on the return of christ . , in order to understand the difference between the true Messiah and the coming counterfeit messiah, who may usher in a false combination of islam . and Vatican. Christianity ( Chrislam ) . .
The Messiah of James Trimm is called the Messiah but does not correspond to the Jesus Christ found in the New Testament. Those seeking truth may find other sources of use to compare the teachings of James Trimm with those of the Word of God (the Old and New Testaments). Mr Trimm will not be as likely to write as much as Darby ., but at least Darby was known to be a true Christian, and someone who produced deep exegetical studies out of the Old and New Testaments. Even Scofield. wrote about the Identity of the Messiah, and produced a small work with sound reasoning and Hebraic documentation. .
Yet the supposed scholarship. of James Trimm leaves a great deal to be desired, leaving one with many doubts and concerns about the issues of plagiarism and lack of scholarship ., (for those who have the courage to find out) , even concerning his knowledge of Hebrew.
There is much study which CAN be done concerning true and false versions of the New and Old Testaments. But one consistent theme is that those who are accurate avocates of truth, accurately represent Christianity and can discuss its contents with knowledge.
It has been a usefull allegation for the past 200 years that the real Bible is lost, the true records of christianity cannot be found, and that the historic Greek and Hebrew Manuscripts are not reliable. Yet the evidence demonstrates the contrary. Those who seek truth would do well to study standard historic advocates of Christianity. These include Robert Haldane, Sir Robert Anderson, John W. Burgon, A W Torrey, Spurgon, Calvin, Luther, Jonathan Edwards, Rawlinson, and the Many other advocates of true , standard,
and historic Christianity.
